Social research is a scientific inquiry activity conducted empirically into the behavior, attitudes, and relationships of people in the social world, and the various social phenomena and social products that result from them. The course introduces the basic concepts, principles, and methods of social research methods, taking into accounts the development trends of social research methods at home and abroad. The content is arranged in a way that takes into accounts both the logical procedures of practical research, quantitative and qualitative research methods and various data collection methods and techniques.
The teaching goals of this course are:
1.The course provides a comprehensive and systematic introduction to the theory and methods of social research, enabling students to learn from methodological and basic theories, specific research methods, and research techniques.
2.The course provides a comprehensive and systematic introduction to the theory and methods of social research, enabling students to master and apply various methods and techniques of collecting, organizing, analyzing and evaluating social research data at three levels: methodology, specific research methods, and research techniques, as well as qualitative and quantitative research, and to become familiar with the principles, logical strategies and scientific procedures of social research.
