The current program mission is stated as Educate for State and Governance, Advocate for Knowledge and Virtue. Specially, we aim to cultivate public officials in public sectors with knowledge and skills of public administration and policy, spirits of public services and international vision as well as ability of leading economic and social changes and development. The mission was adopted since September 1st, 2014. On June 21st, 2019, we established MPA Education Steering Committee (MPAESC) in our school. All members of the MPA-ESC are full time MPA nucleus faculty members, and the Committee meets frequently to discuss important issues of the MPA program and make decisions. The MPA-ESC reviewed and agree the continuance of the mission statement as "Educate for State and Governance, Advocate for Knowledge and Virtue". This mission statement fully takes into account the current requirements of the times and the positioning and the motto of Beijing Normal University.
